WEB SUMMIT: Restaurants in Lisbon – Where to eat?

Hey guys! And welcome to Lisbon! 🙂
We are very glad to have you here for the Web Summit! These next days are going to be great to learn new things about everything in the digital world… but you will still have time to get to know our city! And when you are not feeding your brain, you will have to feed your body, so here are a few suggestions on the best restaurants to eat in lisbon! These are some of our favorite restaurants in town, in different areas of the city, where you’ll be spending some time during these days. After reading this we hope that you know where to eat in Lisbon. Enjoy our city and our food! 🙂

Where? PARQUE DAS NAÇÕES
The main site for all the conferences, where you can find several restaurants to have lunch or event dinner:

THE OLD HOUSE
A chinese restaurant that is very different from all the other chinese restaurants in Lisbon… even because it is always full of real chinese people! 🙂 Outstanding food, impeccable service and affordable lunchtime prices!

AFURI – RAMEN & DUMPLINGS
There are all kinds of ramen here. Afuri has more than a dozen ramen references, and we can choose them from vending machines like in Japan.

JÚLIO DOS CARACÓIS
One of those traditional food places to go in this area of Lisbon, where the specialty is snails but in fact all the food is very good. Never fails to eat good Portuguese food!

BOTA FEIJÃO
Do you like piglet? So in this area, come to this restaurant! In addition to a beautiful suckling pig, here there is also more traditional Portuguese food, fast service and very friendly prices.

ZERO ZERO
Pizza is always a great idea! Zero Zero is one of the busiest pizzerias in town and the quality of the pizzas explains why.

LA BRASSERIE DE L’ENTRECÔTE
A true classic in terms of restaurants in Lisboa, a steak that never went out of style and a sauce everyone wants to know how to replicate. It’s one of the “easiest” restaurants in Lisbon: it only has one menu choice!

THE GREEN AFFAIR
If you are looking for vegetarian options, The Green Affair is an excellent solution in the Parque das Nações area. There is great care in having diversity and variety for everyone, in a very interesting space.

CARTEL 36
When it opened, it made quite a buzz for its concept related to drug trafficking. But Cartel 36 has always been much more than that: it’s an unpretentious and cool space, with a menu based on meats, cooked in various ways.

ARIGATO SUSHI HOUSE
One of the best sushi restaurants in Lisbon, at least in the buffet version of it. A fantastic buffet in terms of quality and diversity, at an affordable price for both lunch and dinner.

GUILTY BY OLIVIER
One of the most recent openings of the “empire” Olivier, the extension of Guilty in Parque das Nações. Burgers, pastas, pizzas and other fast food references but with a sophisticated twist, in a fun and party atmosphere.

Where? CAIS DO SODRÉ
Most of the nigh events are going to happen in this area, so you can just go earlier and grab something to eat, because this is the most trendy area in Lisbon by these days!

MUSA DA BICA
A beer bar turned into a restaurant, with creative snacks to be eaten until late hours. The place is always buzzing and when you get there you will see why: young people, good beers, great food!

SOI
Asian street food with a twist! The place is beautiful but small, so go early or make a reservation. And then you can choose from dishes from all around Asia.

SALA DE CORTE
If you wants something more chilled and calm, and your idea is to have a steak, this is the place to go. One of the best meat restaurants in Lisboa, for sure.

LUPITA
One of the newest and busiest pizza joints in the city, always packed! The idea is to go grab a beer and chat with all the people in the street, while waiting for you pizza. And the pizzas are great!

Where? CHIADO
Another place where there are going to happen some night summits, and a beautiful and busy area of the city. You should take some time to walk around this area, because it’s really beautiful!

BOA-BAO
When you talk about asian restaurants in Lisboa, this is the busiest! And also one of the best. A trendy place, full of great details, and food from several asian countries.

OFÍCIO – TASCO ATÍPICO
This is where you can find the best steak tartare in the city! But also the best oysters! And the best cheese pie! Everything else is good as well… but do you really need anything more?!

LAS DOS MANOS
This is the new restaurant from portughese superstar Chef Kiko Martins, and it mixes mexican food with japanese food. The final result is great, with many amazing dishes! The place is beautiful, the drinks are really good… and please try the Taco Al Pastor!!!

MESÓN ANDALUZ
Spanish food in Lisboa… Why not? Mesón Andaluz is a classic, and the idea of tapas always sounds good!

Where? BAIRRO ALTO / BICA
Right next to the Chiado neighborhood, this is where young adults go out at night, to have dinner or to have a drink. Always busy, always fun, you cannot miss the part of town, because this represents Lisbon!

ESSENCIAL
The finest french inspired restaurant in Lisbon, and a truly amazing experience on an affordable price. The food is amazing, the wines are remarkable, and the prices are not that expensive!

TAPA BUCHO GASTROBAR
Portughese food with a modern twist, to share. This is where young people go to have group dinners and share several dishes, all inspired on our traditional cuisine but with some innovations to make them more actual.

CASA CABAÇAS
A real portuguese typical restaurant, the thing we call “tasca”! You’ll have to wait for you seat, but this is where you can get the best and cheapest “steak on the stone” in all the city. Cheap wine also, and very good! 😉

CHUTNIFY
Modern indian food in a place with a really trendy vibe. This is what Chutnify has to offer you! You will find dishes that you cannot find anywhere else, and that makes this one of the best indian restaurants in Lisboa.

Where? REST OF THE CITY
And if you want to explore Lisboa or are staying anywhere else, the options are endless. Lisboa has one of the best restaurant scenes in Europe (and the World!), so here are some more unmissable tips!

TABERNA SAL GROSSO (Santa Apolónia)
The best new tavern in Lisboa! No doubts! Portughese traditional food, small dishes to share, great flavors, great wine, perfect place to share a table with complete strangers that become your friends by the end of the night!

CERVEJARIA RAMIRO (Almirante Reis)
If you are craving for seafood, this is the place to go! Ramiro is the most known seadfood place in Lisboa, and probably the best. You have to go with time and try everything! And finish the meal with the house desert: a meat sandwich!

PIGMEU (Campo de Ourique)
Can you eat every part of a pig? Yes, in here you can! Pigmeu serves a menu in which you can try different parts of the animal made into excellent snacks!

VOLVER DE CARNE Y ALMA (Lumiar)
Our favorite restaurant in Lisboa! Argentinian based cuisine, amazing meats on the parrilla, creativity and presentation, exclusive environment, great wines… Volver is the perfect restaurant for every ocasion.

SOLAR DOS PRESUNTOS (Rossio)
One of the more traditional and oldest restaurants in Lisboa, and the place to eat traditional portoghese dishes. The prices are high, but the quality is amazing!

CASANOVA (Santa Apolónia)
For most locals, the is where you can find the best pizzas in town! Be prepared to wait for a table, but then enjoy the pizzas, because they are really great!

BOI-CAVALO (Alfama)
Maybe the most creative restaurant in Lisboa! Chef Hugo Brito is like a mad scientist, always trying new stuff, creating dishes that mix portoghese flavours with international techniques. A unique experience, trust us!

PRADO (Sé)
Prado is also one of the most interesting restaurants in the city. In here, everything is about the ingredients and making them shine on every dish, with an almost minimalistic approach. Perfect!
